Asorcafe was founded in 2004 by 10 coffee farmers tired of selling their coffee below market price to parchment merchants. Since then the producers have become leaders in the Inza region. Asorcafe along with private and state organizations, provides aid to their members including subsidies for domestic economy, education, job training, and healthcare services.

Inside Colombia’s Cauca Department lies the province of Inza known, or La Tierra Adentro. The province is about a two-hour drive from Popayan and La Plata in either direction. The famous Paez River runs east through the valley, connecting Cauca and Huila. A majority of the coffee is grown at 1900 meters above sea level. This coffee is from the town of San Antonio where a handful of families grow coffee on no more than 30 hectares.

San Antonio is a fantastic representation of Colombian coffee. Aromatically presenting a strong note of pistachios with hints of pear. A silky smooth mouthfeel leads into Assam black tea notes followed by a sweet pomegranate acidity.
