Huaduiña, located in the center of La Convencion Valley, has been operational since 1964. In 2015 new leadership shifted Huaduiña to focus on producing higher quality lots with a stronger focus on traceability.
The La Convencion Valley is home to mainly typica, caturra, and bourbon trees that grow between 1750 - 2000 meters. The Valley is situated 6.5 km from Machu Picchu and 30 minutes from Quillabamba, the closest major coffee trading hub. With a 6 hour drive to the nearest major city, La Convencion is still home to nearly 6000 people.
Santa Teresa has a bright plum fragrance while brewed. The first sip shows its grape-like acidity followed by a light and airy white tea-like body and finishing with smooth and silky almond butter sweetness that creates an excellent cup.
